….and we are off.  The first leg of this very long travel episode is a flight from Tucson to LAX.  We saw TV crews in both airports interviewing security. I guess after the shooting in Florida, everybody wants to know if it can happen at their airport. Thankfully we arrived uneventfully in Los Angeles and were greeted with a colorful sunset.  Not Tucson quality but it made for a nice contrast with the city lights.  

We had a pizza and beer dinner and then endured a long TSA line and six-hour layover before boarding our near midnight flight.  Aimee and I are hoping we can get some sleep on the plane.
