With all the traveling we are doing, it was inevitable that we would run into real trouble. Well today it caught up to us. We woke to an email notifying us that our flight to Manchester UK tonight is cancelled leaving us in a real pickle. We tried calling the British customer service line but discovered that our new I-phones aren't setup for international dialing. When it rains, you quickly find out where all the holes in your house are! The airline’s next open flight is three days from now, so we bite the bullet and buy last minute tickets on Virgin Atlantic. I hope our credit card has a big enough limit.

With Our Big Adventure back on a new track, we return to the Met for a couple hours. The Met is a pretty impressive museum. Every section is so extensive that each could be a major destination of its own. Despite this, Aimee's favorite is a special exhibit in the Medieval section entitled Heavenly Bodies. It is a collection of designer dresses inspired by the sometimes repressed Catholic imagination. It is accompanied by a cool piece of pulsing church-like chamber music.

I wish we could spend more time at the Met but the price of visiting Manhattan is a major budget buster. Before leaving we finish with a visit to the Rooftop garden with its wonderful views of Central Park and the Manhattan skyline.
