Aimee and I have enjoyed doing nothing for the last month. Working out, reading and watching our nest egg disappear have been our main pursuits. While we haven’t seen much wildlife from our balcony, the patio seems to be a popular roost for birds. The local hawk is pissed that the new residents (us) like to sit on the patio during the day. A few days ago Aimee spotted a hummingbird buzzing outside the window prompting us to buy a feeder. Within minutes we were in the birdwatching business. Photographing these hyperactive speed demons is not nearly as straight forward. Anything less than full sun and a shutter of 1/1000 second and they are a blur.
