We spent this day on the plane, or what was left of it until we crossed the International date line and jumped ahead a day.  We are taking China Airlines to the capital of China.  Not the big China, but the one the US no longer officially recognizes, the Republic of China, more commonly known as Taiwan.  After WWII, when control of China was up for grabs, Mao and the Communists carried the day. Chiang Kai Shek fled here with his faction.   

It is a grueling 15 hour flight made worse because we have middle seats in the middle section.  Ugh!
