The list of places in and around Tucson we haven’t visited yet is getting very short. We made the list a little shorter today by visiting the Tucson Botanical Garden. I am glad we waited, as the garden is nice but eclipsed by much nicer spots around town.

The highlight is Butterfly Magic, a special exhibit of tropical butterflies flying free in a small greenhouse. I can at least take pictures of something besides another cactus… or at least I can when my lens stops fogging up. This greenhouse is humid and we are getting soaked waiting. And I never realized how fast butterflies moved until I tried to take their picture. Butterflies are intriguing at a distance but rather creepy-looking up close. I guess something like politicians. A good lesson to remember considering this is Super Tuesday.
